With only 22 trouts for 2000, Lac Bouchard
is coming back in 2001 with 770 trout.
2 boats will be available there in 2002.

For 2001, 14 lakes crossed the bar of 300
g. of average weight (3/4 pound),
never seen since the Domaine Orégnac's
birth.
For 2002, some new lakes will be open.
Next year, the most promising will be in my
opinion, Lac Barlot, Bouchard, Nadia,
Dace and Painchaud. |

When
hunting is good
Pierre Gilbert' hunters group
has killed 2 moose.
A year record for the partridge hunting :
With 155 grouses, 2001
has been classified 1st
since the beginning of Le Domaine Orégnac.
Bear hunting also known a great success, with 14 bear
for 18 hunters.
On
the other hand, 2 moose killed, of which one with
a 46 inches rack, represents a year a little bit under
Le Domaine Orégnac's average. |

Increase
in the fishing rates
In 2002, the fishing rates will rise a little bit.
They will pass from 50 to 60$ by day.
For the families, the rate is now
at 500$ instead of 450$.

Internal
road improvements
I did more than 110 hours of tractor work this year,
getting the access to lake Chimo a lot easer.
Barlot lake's trail has been adapted for ATV,
which saved 10 minutes of walk time.

Domaine
Orégnac's contest
The biggest trout caught by
Mr. Sylvain Chabot from Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse
was a 2300 grams (5 pds) trout.
He
won a fishing day for him and his 6 anglers during
his next passage at Le Domaine Orégnac
for 2002.
