A
spawning ground at Lac Bouchard
With the collaboration of the Genivar firm
from
Baie-Comeau, a 70 m² spawning ground has been installed
at the discharge of Lac Bouchard.
For that, 30 tons of gravel was
transported and dropped.
Next june (2004), 4 000 native trout will be placed
into the lake to ensure the perenniality of this lake
for the coming years.

This summer, Marc Paré caught the trout of his
life : a 3.5 lbs trout. Too bad, you didn't catch it
while fly fishing.

Fishing
season 2003
Lac Petit-Caribou finishes first
with 694 trout caught.
19 of 27 lakes fished in 2003 crossed the
bar of 200 grams of average weight.
2003 season, with an average weight of 237
grams for all the catches (4203 trout), is
the year record since the Domaine Orégnac's
birth.
Among the customers having visited the Domaine
Oregnac in the 2003 fishing season,
not less than 49 people have caught
the largest trout of their life.
Statistics which
show how exceptional was 2003.

A
little help to the Mira foundation
For 2004, each fisherman who will attend Lac Mira
will have to spend $1 per trout caught.
The outfitter will double the bet of each fisherman.
The whole will be given to the Mira foundation.

road improvements |
Now,
we can reach Lac Naja and Lac Long with A.T.V.
Next year, we also plan to make an A.T.V. access
from Lac Petit-Caribou to the lake Perdrix.
This road will allow us to get to Lac Chimo
in 8 km instead of the 16 km for now.

Small
game hunting
The small game hunting was excellent (best year) with
the harvest of 226 hens: 163 crested grouse and 63
grouse of savannas.

One fishing day for the winners
during 2004 season.
This year, the largest trout has been caught
by Yvon Desmeules of St-Joseph-de-la-Rive
with a weight of 4 1/2 lbs, or 2,050 kg.

Hunting
The moose hunting was crowned with 2 males with 33
inches rack, including one by the owner
and his partner at Lac Mimo.
(In front of the camps).
We
have started to build some new places to hunt, there
is one at Lac Long.
We plan the construction 2 more places for 2004.
