" largest trout " contest
The biggest trout has been caught this year
by
M. Ronald Landry from Thetford Mines,
with a 1,750 grams (3,85 lb.) trout.
He won a fishing day for the 2005 season,
for him and his group.

Fishing
season 2004
not the best season that
we have had.
2004 was a tough year for fishing activities
with 800 trout less than 2003.
( 3402 trout caught )
The weather conditions were largely responsible
for the decreased catch.
Lac
Chimo took first place with 591 catches.
An
average weight of 230 grams for all the
catches for 2004 is a good size.

The
owner's predictions
For next year, there are my predictions :
Most catches : lac Bouchard;
The biggest trout : lac Mira;
Most catches for 2005 : 4500.

Internal
road improvements :
2 new roads |
Now,
we can reach lac Chimo, by a road starting
from lac Petit-Caribou.
A new 2.4 km ATV road.
This new road improvement will allow us to
reach lac Chimo in only 8 km, a 8 km shortcut.
We also built a new ATV road
to reach lac Myrio, who will make the road
easier for all the fishing fans. |

Bear
hunting : a very nice season.
15 bears for 20 hunters ( most with a weight of 200
lb and over ) have been killed, thats means an outstanding
year for this kind of hunting.

A
nice catch
Last summer, Denis paquet caught a trout with a weight
over than 3 lb at lac Mira.

Small
game hunting
Once more this year, small game hunting was fantastic
with the harvest of 222 hens.
( 150 crested grouse and 72 grouse of savannas )
This result means only 4 hens below
the 2003 record.

Moose
hunting :
The owner strikes again
At the first morning of the moose hunting season,
after only 20 minutes, Christian shot his second moose
in two years !
This year, each group of hunters who visited at the
Domaine Orégnac, took part in the real action.
A group is returned with a moose from lac Polo.
A couple from Pointe-Aux-Outardes suffer " buck
fever
" and missed a moose at lac Barlot. Another group
saw a female, and the last group, during the last
week, saw and caught on film 8 mooses without killing
any of them.
