Thus, Lac Mima was accessible and each fisherman could
fish 5 trouts. With
the success of this activity, we will do the same
next year with this time, 3 lakes,
from the beginning of october until mid-october. |

A
disappointing moose hunting season
Only one moose has been killed for 4 groups of hunters.
The warm weather and the low number of hunters would
explain probably this bad year of hunting. On
the other hand, 6 moose could be hunt for 2000. An
moose quota was allocated to me for 3 years by Environnement
and Fauna.
Nevertheless,
small game was a great success.
124 partridge were killed during
the 3 weeks of hunting.

Fishing
season 2000
The 2000 fishing season will be great.
7 new lakes will be added.
That gives a total of 29 lakes available for the 23
fishermen which can attend the Domaine Orégnac
at the same time. |

We

This
year, a ground incubator SOUVAK was installed into
Lac Bouchard's creek.
More than 12,000 eggs coming from parents
of Lac Petit-Caribou were dropped there.
These fishes will be distributed in June, into the
various lakes of the Domaine Orégnac.
Spawning
grounds has been also installed into Lac Mimo's creek
and at the lake Caribou.
At
Le Domaine Orégnac, you are fishing
only 100% native trout.

THe
2nd best season
The 2000 fishing season nas been classified third on
the 12 years of existance of Le Domaine Orégnac
for the average weight.
That, inspite of a difficult fishing season
because of the cold weather.
The average weight is 206 grams. In
addition, for the number of catches (4198),
that is the second best season.
I'm
predicting that 2001 will be a year record
both for the weight the number of captures.

hunting was also crowned with success
with a 8 bears for 8 hunters. |

A
wonderful hunting season
Indeed,
two superb males mooses of 42 and 43 inches racks
have been killed this year.
THe small game hunting has also been excellent with
a total of 97 pertridges and 75 hares.
At
Le Domaine Orégnac, small game hunting, thats
more than 22 sq miles of territory especially for
you and your group.

road improvement
The
hiring of a backhoe for 130 hours allowed me to improve
the roads to a significant degree.
More than 2.5 miles of ditch have been done and trails
enlargement are allowing us to get to the lakes easily.
In the future, we will repair the roads
with a tractor.
As the governmental slogan said,

Domaine
Orégnac's contest
The biggest trout of the territory has been
caught by Mme Lucie Filiatreault.
With a weight of 1600 grams, (3½ pounds),mme
Filiatreault won a free fishing day for her and 4 people
group for her 2001 passage.
This catch from Lac Mima has been very exciting. |
